Beyond the natural beauty he harnessed or redesigned through his work, perhaps Olmsted's greatest legacy are the parks that continue to serve as meeting grounds for people of different neighborhoods and backgrounds. The Emerald Necklace park system provides places for celebration and recreation, green and open spaces offering relief from the pressures of everyday life, acres to explore, and a safe playground for our children.

• $25 will purchase 4 hoes to use in the Kelleher Rose Garden.
• $50 will help buy gloves and supplies for the over 800 volunteers who work in the parks each year.
• $$125 will provide 10 pruners for our Green Team.
• $800 will pay the salary for one urban teen to join the Green Team this summer.
• $2500 will pay for the projector for Summer Movie Nights at Jamaica Pond.
• $5000 will pay printing costs for the NEW Emerald Necklace Interpretive Map and Guide due out this Spring.
